Getting around in Tehran

Getting around traffic-clogged Tehran is a real test of patience. While taxis are your best bet, they are pricier here than the rest of the country. An extensive local bus network will also take you almost anywhere you need to go, as long you can make sense of the routes. The true star of Tehran's transport system, however, is the brand new metro. Click on the links below to get the latest maps of subway and rapid bus lines. The only point that you have to know about the Tehran Metro is that some of the new stations are not working, which is not clear on the Tehran map on Google. The red, blue and green lines are working in all stations. Metro runs everyday from 5:30 till 10:30. Tehran BRT is easy to use; there is two important BRT line which connects south to north and west to east of Tehran. All the stations have signs in English. BRT works 24/7. You can download Tehran METRO lines map 2016 and Tehran BRT lines Map 2016 in the following links.
